Viel zu selten stehe das Fagott als Solo-Instrument im Rampenlicht, findet Emanuel Blumin-Sint – und möchte genau das ändern. Der Fagottist ist Stipendiat der Deutschen Stiftung Musikleben und unter anderem Preisträger des Fanny Mendelssohn Förderpreises. Diese Auszeichnung ermöglichte ihm die Aufnahme eines ersten Soloalbums, das alle Facetten seines Instruments präsentiert. In die Laeiszhalle kommt Emanuel Blumin-Sint in Begleitung von Akkordeonist Pavel Efremov. Zusammen zeigen sie, wie gut ihre ungewöhnliche Besetzung zusammen klingt, ob mit Barockmusik oder mit Musik des 20. Jahrhunderts.

Kulinarisches Angebot vor dem Konzert

Frisch gestärkt lässt sich das Konzert mit den jungen Nachwuchstalenten noch mehr genießen: Die Konzertgastronomie hat vor den Konzerten von 14:45–15:45 Uhr geöffnet und bietet Kaffee, Tee und Kuchen an. Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Weg vom Kleinen Saal zum Brahms-Foyer nicht barrierefrei ist und dass die Anzahl der Plätze begrenzt ist.

Der Fagottist Emanuel Blumin-Sint wurde 2004 in Madrid geboren und wuchs in Irland und Deutschland auf. Mit vier Jahren begann er mit Klavierunterricht bei Elisaveta Blumina und im Alter von neun Jahren mit dem Fagott-Unterricht bei Prof. Mathias Baier in Berlin. Seit April 2023 studiert Emanuel bei Rainer Luft an der Hanns Eisler Hochschule in Berlin und führt ab September 2024 sein Studium weiter bei Matthias Rácz an der ZHdK Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. Emanuel hat in der Berliner Philharmonie, dem Konzerthaus Berlin und der Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg gespielt und hatte im November sein Solo-Debüt in der Carnegie Hall in New York. Einige Komponisten schrieben für Emanuel neue Stücke fürs Fagott. So widmete Valentin Silvestrov – der größte zeitgenössische Komponist der Ukraine – Emanuel 2022 seine erste und bisher einzige Komposition für Fagott. Emanuels Debütalbum »Leading Bassoon« wurde im September 2024 veröffentlicht.

Chamber music series, lieder recitals, children's concerts and jazz events seem to be made for the Recital Hall of the Laeiszhalle, which can accommodate up to 640 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Cloakrooms

Strollers, prams, wheeled walkers, walking-stick umbrellas, bags sized A3 (42 cm x 30 cm) or above, sport bags, backpacks and luggage must be checked in at the cloakroom.

Jackets and handbags may be taken into the hall.
Toilet Facilities

Facilities for guests of the Recital Hall are located to the right of the hall entrance. Barrier-free toilets are also available.

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.
Laeiszhalle is not at the Elbphilharmonie

The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.
Arrival time

We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.

The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.

Admission times Grand Hall and Recital Hall:

Events without pre-concert talk:
Foyer: 60 minutes before the start of the event
Hall: 30 minutes before the start of the event

Events with pre-concert talk:
Foyer: 90 minutes before the start of the event
Hall: 15 minutes before the start of the talk
