The legendary Serge Jaroff founded the Don Cossack Choir in 1921 and conducted it until 1979. The youngest soloist at the time, Wanja Hlibka, now conducts the choir. Serge Jaroff studied church music in Moscow and dedicated much of his life to sacred music. The present ensemble continues to uphold this tradition of expressive liturgical song, and performs sacred songs from the Russian-orthodox church as well as well-known Russian folk tunes and classical choir pieces.
Please note: This event replaces the cancelled concert from 23 December 2020. Tickets purchased for the postponed concert are valid for this event.
