The first concert of the Nordlied Festival, »Hybride«, offers a broad range of song and singing. For the opening evening mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter, whose reputation for boundless vocal art stretches back over decades, has chosen an eclectic programme of Scandinavian folk songs, German lieder, wintry pop arrangements and Berlin songs from the Weimar Republic.
