Sie sind Partner im Leben und in der Kunst: die tschechische Mezzosopranistin Magdalena Kožená und der britische Dirigent Sir Simon Rattle. Doch als Pianisten erlebt man den Chefdirigenten der Berliner Philharmoniker selten. Im zweiten der vier Konzerte der Elbphilharmonie-Residenzkünstlerin Magdalena Kožená hat man nun Gelegenheit dazu. Dabei ist schon das besondere Programm dieses Konzerts einen Besuch wert. Selten hört man eine so aparte Besetzung wie in Ravels »Chansons madécasses« oder in Strawinskys »Three Songs from William Shakespeare«: Ravel ließ die Sängerin von Flöte, Cello und Klavier begleiten, Strawinsky von Flöte, Klarinette und Bratsche. Einen Gruß aus ihrer tschechischen Heimat bringt Magdalena Kožená in jedem ihrer Konzerte mit, hier sind es die »Zigeunermelodien« von Dvořák und Janáčeks »Kinderreime«.

Since 1908, the Laeiszhalle has been a meeting place for Hamburg's musical life. The neo-baroque Laeiszhalle Grand Hall accommodates over 2,000 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
