Jazz from the capital

The trumpeter Felix Ziebarth formed his band with fellow students at the Jazz Institute Berlin two years ago. In the eponymous musician’s compositions, driving vamps and distorted trumpet sounds repeatedly meet lyrical melodies. Each one of the musicians is a member of Berlin’s vibrant jazz scene and brings his own style to the band. Influences from electronic music, South American music, hip-hop and funk round off the sound. With uneven grooves, effects devices and drum hits that get the heart beating faster, the band can’t help but put listeners and even its own members into ecstatic states of consciousness. From die-hard jazz fans to newbies – this music will take everyone on a journey into infinite vastness.
