The Elbphilharmonie doesn’t only stand for classical music, it’s also an address for top-class jazz. »Elbphilharmonie Jazz« is an exquisite collection of jazz concerts presented at the Elbphilharmonie. The series features stars from all over the world, among them the young American singer Cécile McLorin Salvant, who follows in the footsteps of great jazz vocalists like Billie Holiday oder Sarah Vaughan; Kurt Rosenwinkel and his band, a kind of post-jazz formation of great virtuosity, power and experimental talent; the newly-founded trio led by Finnish pianist Iiro Ranatala; Tunesian oud virtuoso Anouar Brahem, and other big names such as trumpeter Avishai Cohen, the Yaron Herman Trio or jazz doyen Chucho Valdés.
