Catalonia is all about a way of life! For five days, from 12 to 16 November 2025, the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle devoted all their attention and energy to the proud region surrounding Barcelona. The »Focus Catalunya« festival showcased Catalan musical life in all its broad richness: from medieval monastic mysticism with Jordi Savall to orchestral and choral works with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and the Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música Catalana. The dance ensemble Cobla Sant Jordi not only performed in the Grand Hall, but also encouraged audiences in the plaza to join in the traditional Sardana circle dance. The electro-vocal duo Tarta Relena, the jazz-flamenco duo Chicuelo and Marco Mezquida, and a marvellous pop evening with Sílvia Pérez Cruz and Salvador Sobral were further highlights of the festival.
