Of proud Catalans

Catalonia is purported to be a bit like the »Gallic village« of Spain – proud, slightly stubborn and full of strong personalities. With the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra under the leadership of its principal conductor Ludovic Morlot and world-class soprano Nuria Rial, notable Catalan cultural ambassadors come to Hamburg – of course, they have brought along music from their homeland, flanked by perhaps the most famous pieces by Ravel and Debussy.
