Harbour Front Sounds
For the twelfth time running, the Harbour Front Literature Festival entices the biggest stars of the scene to Hamburg. Since it was opened, the Elbphilharmonie has become an established location, hosting appearances by major authors like Salman Rushdie and John le Carré. Now Harbour Front and the Elbphilharmonie enter into an even closer connection: as a festival within a festival, »Harbour Front Sounds« focuses on the interaction between music and literature. After all, no lesser figure than Thomas Mann wrote aptly in his novel »Doctor Faustus« that »music and language are basically one: language is music and music is language«.
Das Harbour Front Literaturfestival wird ermöglicht durch die großzügige Unterstützung der Kühne-Stiftung und der Behörde für Kultur und Medien der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg.
