Theatre of Voices
NDR das neue werk
Paul Hillier and the Theatre of Voices vocal ensemble have designed a concert evening for the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall that covers a long chronological period: from Leoninus, the first known composer of choral polyphony and member of the Notre Dame School, to the contemporary Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson. The concert features works for vocal ensemble and a-cappella choir that have been influential in the development of the western musical tradition over the centuries.
