The King’s Singers
»Songbirds« – Hamburg International Music Festival
The best in their field
The King’s Singers are, quite simply, legendary. In 1968, six students from the renowned King’s College gave their first concert in London – and what was initially just an ambitious project among friends quickly became a huge success. With their phenomenal voices, diverse programmes featuring everything from Bach to the Beatles, and their irresistible British charm, they took the world’s church and concert stages by storm. Fans came in droves and the creative minds behind the a-cappella ensemble never ran out of fresh ideas for exciting new projects. 50 years later – with a new cast of singers, of course – the six amazing vocalists still inspire and delight audiences every time: highly musical, and with perfect intonation, sophisticated programmes and a good dose of British humour.
