Reger: String Trio, Clarinet Sonata & Piano Quartet
»I am sitting in the smallest room in the house. I have your criticism in front of me. Soon I will have it behind me.« Probably the most famous quote by the German composer Max Reger, born in 1873, 150 years ago in Brand, in the Upper Palatinate, east of Bayreuth.
Max Reger was convinced of his genius and reacted rather sensitively to criticism. His music is complex and exciting and yet it still rarely makes it to concert stages in Germany and around the world. Five top-class musicians will open the season of the Kammermusikfreunde with an exciting, diverse Reger programme and three very different compositions.
