With the programme »Peer Gynt«, Hardanger-fiddle player and violinist Ragnhild Hemsing carries her audience off to Norway, accompanied by the Trondheim Soloists. Although parts of the Peer Gynt suites are among today’s best-known classical melodies, Ms Hemsing presents them in a hitherto unknown version for classical violin and the Norwegian Hardanger fiddle – an instrument from her home region of Valdres.
