Since that time, it has cultivated a repertoire that blends the music of its former home with western-European classical music. Formed in Tbilisi in 1964, the chamber orchestra started a new chapter in its history in Ingolstadt in the early 1990s. Despite the geographical rupture, they continue to cherish their eastern-European identity to this day, and build bridges with their programmes between the cultures of east and west.
