PKF - Prague Philharmonia / Gábor Boldoczki
Benda / Neruda / Dvořák
Legend has it that Brahms commented thus on Antonín Dvořák: »That fellow has more ideas than all of us. Any other composer could put together his main motifs from Dvořák’s leftovers«. But even earlier, musicians and composers from what was then called Bohemia were in great demand throughout Europe for their wealth of melody, the dance-like lightness of their works and their musical talent. And what ensemble could be better suited than the Prague Philharmonia to revive the spirit of Bohemian music-making in the 21st century? With Hungarian trumpeter Gábor Boldoczki the orchestra has a soloist at its side whose elegant bel canto tone is nothing short of legendary.
