His admirers called him »Orpheus of Amsterdam« because of his virtuosic improvisations. To mark the 400th anniversary of the death of organist and composer Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, the NDR Vokalensemble and its chief conductor Klaas Stok, together with organists Andreas Fischer and Gerhard Löffler, dedicate a programme to the pioneering Dutch musician.
