Now Gergiev returns to the Elbe with »his Munich orchestra«, this time to play Debussy and Wagner. The star conductor has been artistic director and manager of Saint Petersburg’s legendary Mariinsky Theatre for over 20 years now. In addition, he also led the London Symphony Orchestra until he switched to the Munich Philharmonic in 2015. Valery Gergiev is one of today’s most sought-after conductors on the international concert scene.
