Jazz singer-songwriter Mirna Bogdanović brings together vocals and instrumentals, the individual and the collective, real-time and post-production, perception and reality: all presented in her recently released debut album »Confrontation«. It was recently awarded the German Jazz Prize as »Debut Album of the Year« and is on the critic’s choice list of the Deutschen Schallplattenkritik. Right now she is gearing up to release her second studio album, due in May 2023. At »Jazz im Kulturcafé«, Mirna is accompanied by a group of musicians who are all dominant forces on both the German and international jazz scenes. Peter Meyer on guitar, Povel Widestrand on piano and synthesiser, Matthias Pichler on bass and Philip Dornbusch on drums.
Jazz at the Kulturcafé is a monthly event presenting the most promising upcoming artists in the jazz and singer-songwriter scene. It is the perfect experimental platform for musicians and bands from Hamburg and all over the country. The atmosphere is laid back – and admission is free!
