Martin Fröst / Antoine Tamestit / Shai Wosner
Works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Gabriel Fauré and Johannes Brahms
Intimate conversation
Music is a language of its own, a language that transcends national idioms. This is shown once more when three internationally respected soloists come together for the intimate format of a chamber-music recital: Martin Fröst from Sweden, Frenchman Antoine Tamestit and the Israeli Shai Wosner, who lives in the USA. The concert programme consists of three masterpieces for a combination of instruments that fit perfectly with one another: the clarinet, the viola and the piano. Mozart’s »Kegelstatt Trio« takes its name from the charming anecdote that Mozart is said to have written it during a game of skittles (Kegelstatt is German for bowling alley). The other pieces are two highly Romantic trios by Brahms and Fauré – the latter in an arrangement by Shai Wosner.
