Mahler Chamber Orchestra / Leif Ove Andsnes
»Mozart Momentum 1785/1786«
A partnership of equals
In Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s short, incredibly productive life, the years 1785 and 1786 were among the most fruitful. The piano concertos from that time in particular testify to his unbridled creative spirit. In them, the soloist and the orchestra meet, and conduct a dialogue, as equals. Mozart thereby lifted the genre to new heights, paving the way for Beethoven and his successors. Leif Ove Andsnes and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra now enter into that balanced partnership of equals once again in their joint project »Mozart Momentum 1785/1786«, and present piano concertos, chamber music and songs from Mozart’s creative frenzy over three evenings.
