Landesjugendorchester Hamburg

The Landesjugendorchester Hamburg is the city of Hamburg’s official youth orchestra and is funded by the Department of Culture. Following a zestful kick-off with Strauss’ Overture to »The Gypsy Baron«, Anastasia Kobekina, winner of the Tonali Competition 2015 and soloist in tonight’s concert, performs Tchaikovsky’s »Variations on a Rococo Theme«. In the second half: Johannes Brahms’ popular Fourth (and last) Symphony. Themes from this work were arranged by the band Yes in »Cans and Brahms« on its album »Fragile«.
