To mark its 100th anniversary, Hamburg’s Friends of Chamber Music Association is putting on a chamber music festival featuring nothing but anniversary music – from 1622 to 2022. The musical impressions range from Renaissance lute sounds to brand-new music from 2022. The programme features a symphony with an unusual chamber music instrumentation by Dmitri Shostakovich, as well as one of Joseph Haydn’s »Sun Quartets« and works by Maurice Ravel and Johann Nepomuk Hummel.
