Junge Sinfonie Berlin / Marc Piollet
Berg / Bruckner
Young and enthusiastic!
Enthusiastic, professional, committed – that’s the Junge Sinfonie Berlin! Founded in 1989 by Marc Piollet as the Reinickendorf Youth Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra soon developed into one of Berlin’s leading youth orchestras. Now in its 35th year, the Junge Sinfonie continues to impress with its unbridled enthusiasm for playing at a first-class level. After a brilliant guest performance in January 2019, the orchestra will give its first concert of the year in Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle in 2024. The programme includes Alban Berg’s violin concerto »In Memory of an Angel« and Anton Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony.
Mayumi Kanagawa has been invited as the soloist. Kanagawa, who has been in demand as a soloist both nationally and internationally since her success at the Tchaikovsky Competition, will be performing with the orchestra for the second time. Marc Piollet, who is still the artistic director of the Junge Sinfonie Berlin despite his busy concert schedule and professorship in conducting, will conduct the orchestra.
