The Hamburger Mandolinen-Orchester has much more than just folk songs in its repertoire: the orchestra founded in 1928 has also has classical music pieces and plenty of arrangements of Renaissance and Baroque works, film soundtracks, musicals, German pop music and lieder up its sleeve. In addition, solo singers and instrumentalists enrich the annual concert programme in the Laeiszhalle Recital Hall. In celebration of its 90th anniversary, the orchestra performs in the Grand Hall for the first time.
