Hamburger Camerata
»Four Seasons« / »Vier Jahreszeiten«
A dog barking, the crackle of dry autumn leaves on the ground, ice creaking, the whistling wind of a storm and birds chirping. As if intended for film, these sounds and many others can be heard in Vivaldi’s popular »Four Seasons«. Astor Piazzolla, grand master of nuevo tango, was also a huge fan of the piece and so decided to pen his own Buenos Aires version – now equally as successful as his source of inspiration.
