Freiburger Barockconsort: Bach & Buxtehude
Das Alte Werk – MIT ABSTAND
Musical bliss with and without violins
Early Music Day: yes, it exists! On 21 March each year, more than a thousand years of music history is celebrated around Europe under the patronage of the EU commissioners for culture and UNESCO. This season the Elbphilharmonie is marking this day with a small but exquisite concert: a top-class ensemble of singers joins the Freiburger BarockConsort to perform works by Dietrich Buxtehude and Johann Sebastian Bach.
Please note: Dorothee Mields and Nikolaus Pfannkuch have regrettably been forced to cancel their appearances in this concert due to illness. Magdalena Harer and Hans Jörg Mammel have kindly agreed to step in at short notice. Tickets retain their validity.
