More than forty years separate Brahms’s first and last piano trios – half a lifetime. Elena Bashkirova – founder of the Jerusalem International Chamber Music Festival and an expert on chamber music – traces the composer’s career with a performance of all three piano trios from his pen. Bashkirova’s son Michael Barenboim and ARD prizewinner Julian Steckel join her as strong trio partners.
