Das Elbe-Projekt / The Elbe Project

In a unique school project, the HafenCityOrchester, as well as the choir, orchestra, children’s choir and band of the Walddörfer-Gymnasium in Hamburg present the »Elbe Oratorio« in the Laeiszhalle Grand Hall. The composition by the jazz pianist Christoph Reuter and the singer Cristin Claas tells a journey from the source to the mouth of the river Elbe, referring both historically and musically to different stations on the banks of the river.
