Carl-Philipp-Emanuel-Bach-Chor Hamburg / Dresdner Kapellsolisten / Hansjörg Albrecht
Mozart / Bach
Christmas with Mozart and the Hamburg Bach
»Jauchzet, jubelt, o ihr glücklichen Seelen, singt süße Lieder; eurem Lied antwortend sollen die Himmel Psalmen mit mir singen«, rings out brightly in Mozart’s opening »Exsultate«. This is accompanied by two entertaining and highly virtuosic symphonies. Mozart’s famous Prague Symphony and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach’s sparkling D major Symphony, which face each other like a mirror. The first part of the concert concludes with the short double-choir »Heilig« by Mozart’s model Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, composed for the Hamburg Michel, which of course cannot be missing in the anniversary year of the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Choir Hamburg.
