Sergei Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 is one of the classical works used most often in films: »Grand Hotel« featuring Greta Garbo, »The Seven Year Itch« starring Marilyn Monroe and »Center Stage«, to name but a few. Beatrice Rana, the 27-year-old pianist from Apulia, loves Rachmaninov and the Russian repertoire: »I’m always fascinated by the intensity of the feelings in Russian music and also by its great drama.«
