The history and work of the Tölzer Knabenchor (Tölz Boys’ Choir) are based on the pleasure of singing in a group. Originally founded in the Bavarian town of Bad Tölz, the choir is now based in Munich and enjoys an international reputation. Their concert at the Elbphilharmonie features motets by Johann Sebastian Bach, which are some of the most demanding works in the choral repertoire. The versions performed by the Tölzer Knabenchor are based on the latest scholarly findings from the autograph manuscripts and original copies.
