Russian pianist Konstantin Lifschitz has gained a reputation for playing sophisticated masterpieces with great honesty and exceptional beauty. In his concert at the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall, Lifschitz plays solely music by Johann Sebastian Bach, for which he is generally regarded as an expert. At the Rheingau Music Festival, for example, he played Bach’s entire keyboard oeuvre in a separate recital series over a period of several years.
