Mozart in Paris! For his journey to the French capital Mozart had packed a freshly composed symphony in which he served up everything the Parisians loved. Other than that, however, things did not go well for him in Paris: his mother died on the journey, and he failed to gain a real musical foothold. Conductor Simon Gaudenz uses Mozart to open the door in this concert to French music.
