The Felix Mendelssohn Youth Orchestra under its artistic director Prof. Clemens Malich has not only made a reputation for itself as an outstanding ensemble; it also stands for concert programmes as exciting as they are impressive. Among last season’s highlights were their appearance at the citizens’ festival given by the German President, a concert in the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall with the international sought-after cellist Johannes Moser as soloist, and their work with Kent Nagano.
