»Come Again«
The concert programme of the Elbphilharmonie and the Laeiszhalle cannot go ahead as planned due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. You can find detailed information on ticket returns here: Information on ticket returns
Soprano Emma Kirkby and the Swiss Baroque orchestra le phénix perform a programme of music from the English Baroque. British composers of the time often turned to their Italian contemporaries for inspiration, but they also drew on the rich tradition of native folk songs. This concert presents little-known composers like German emigré Stephen Storace, who was friendly with Handel in London, as well as major figures such as Henry Purcell, who already achieved fame in his own lifetime.
