Authentic tango with an orchestral sound and the esprit of a chamber ensemble is what the Cuarteto SolTango plays. The four classically-trained musicians have dedicated themselves to the music of the 1930s, 40s and 50s, the »golden age« of the tango as performed by Aníbal Troilo, Horacio Salgán, Osvaldo Pugliese and other big names of the genre. In between the pieces, the quartet supplies entertaining background information about the music and anecdotes from the lives of famous tango musicians.
