Music brings people together – this is the motto of the Elbphilharmonie choir »Chor zur Welt«, in which people from a wide variety of cultures sing together. The Hamburg International Music Festival sees their first public appearance since the beginning of the pandemic: they join forces with the experiment-loving Treppenhausorchester to explore how the current situation has changed the way we behave towards one another, featuring songs about closeness and distance, about isolation, new freedoms and hope.
