CANCELLED: Anne-Sophie Mutter / Lambert Orkis
As a result of the new Germany-wide coronavirus restrictions that have been issued, all concerts in the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle have been cancelled until 20 December 2020. This event has had to be cancelled. You’ll find further details on refunds on the following page: Information on refunds for tickets to cancelled events
Anne-Sophie Mutter and Lambert Orkis could have celebrated their pearl wedding last year, if they were married. Of course, they are not actually married, but perhaps 30 years performing together come close to that. After all, there has been hardly been a year since 1988 when the German violinist and the American pianist did not go on tour together. It is true that the Beethoven sonatas for violin and piano often featured on their programmes. But when music is of such quality, and in 2020 is a perfect fit with Beethoven’s anniversary year, then it is definitely the right choice for this top-class chamber music recital. It will be interesting to see whether their interpretations have changed over the years.
Please note: This event replaces the cancelled concert from 30 March 2020. Tickets purchased for the postponed concert are not valid for this event and have to be exchanged. Please get in touch with the promoter via e-mail to abo@proarte.de or under +49 40 3535 55.
