How did people dance at birthday parties at the time of Ludvig Baron Holberg (in the 18th century)? What did it sound like when they whirled over the dancefloor? When they were in excellent spirits? And how did a whirlwind child dance? Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg asked himself these questions, and started to write the score that can be heard at this concert.
