A grand mission, setting out for new worlds where no one has ever been or seen! Joining the audience on board for this musical star trek are percussionist Alexej Gerassimez and the SIGNUM saxophone quartet, all award-winning stars and universal talents of the young classical scene. The five virtuosi know no boundaries, and if they do encounter one, they eagerly tear it down: boundaries between concert and performance, between styles and genres, between composition and improvisation. In addition to classics of the stars such as Gustav Holst’s »Planets« Suite and John Williams’s »Star Wars« soundtrack, the five musicians also perform pieces by Alexej Gerassimez himself and a work commissioned by the New Zealand composer John Psathas. A journey through musical space where everything is possible!
