Beethovens Klavierkonzert op. 58, arrangiert für Quintett wurde 1806 uraufgeführt und zeigt, wie er die Instrumente auf einzigartige Weise miteinander zu verweben vermochte. Die Quintett-Besetzung verleiht dem Stück eine reiche Klangfarbe und eine vielfältige Struktur. Des Meisters Klaviersonate op. 110 in drei Sätzen, entstand 1821 im Verbund mit seinen letzten Klaviersonaten. Unterbrochen von gesundheitlichen Problemen und Arbeiten an u. a. der Missa solemnis, ging die Sonate schließlich 1822 in den Druck. Sie ist bekannt für ihre tiefgründige Emotionalität und ein wichtiger Meilenstein in Beethovens Spätwerk.
Nach der Pause erklingt das Jahr 1812: Neben seiner Siebten und Achten Sinfonie entstand Beethovens Violinsonate Nr. 10. Dem Violinisten Pierre Rode schneiderte er das Werk auf den Leib. Den Klavierpart bei den ersten Aufführungen übernahm Erzherzog Rudolph, Schüler Beethovens sowie Widmungsträger der Sonate. Die lyrischen Melodien und feinsinnigen Harmonien verleihen dem Werk eine unvergleichliche Stimmung und Ausdruckskraft.

We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
