Madrugada

Between midnight and dawn

Quite surprisingly, Madrugada appeared on stage together again in Oslo in 2019. The Norwegian rock band had taken a break for more than ten years, only to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their long classic debut record »Industrial Silence« and go on a celebrated comeback tour through Europe. For the break there was of course this sad reason, the surprising death of the great guitarist Robert Burås, who had so shaped the band’s sound. All the more gratifying that Madrugada could now realize that everyone had been waiting for them and their dark-night music and that it felt good to play these songs together again embedded between midnight and dawn (the Portuguese band name denotes exactly this period).
