»Julius Asal’s piano playing instantly amazed me. It is a mystery to me how he was able to achieve his uniquely sonorous sound. The instrument seemed to tell him a secret.« – Menahem Pressler

In recent years, the German pianist Julius Asal has established himself as one of the outstanding interpreters of his generation through various solo and chamber music concert engagements. Consequently, Deutsche Grammophon announced Julius Asal as the label’s new exclusive artist in October 2023. His first album for Deutsche Grammophon »Scriabin – Scarlatti« was released in May 2024 – Asal will present it to the Hamburg audience at the Elbphilharmonie.
