Classic of musical literature

Antonin Dvořák’s Symphony »From the New World« is undoubtedly his most famous symphony. It speaks of the »New«, the American world, where he had been appointed director of the New York Conservatory and found new inspiration in contact with ragtime, gospels and the melodies of the Native Americans. In an almost ingenious way, it combines the new influences with elements of the classical symphonic tradition and his very own, Bohemian-influenced sound language.
