Thomas Hengelbrock
Description
Thomas Hengelbrock was the Chief Conductor of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra for seven years, a role that saw him conduct the grand opening concert at the Elbphilharmonie. In parallel, however, he continued to work with the Balthasar Neumann Choir and Ensemble, which he founded back in the early 1990s and which quickly earned an outstanding reputation in the historically informed performance scene back then. He is now putting together a special concert series with the Balthasar Neumann Choir and Ensemble at the Laeiszhalle and the Elbphilharmonie.
