Bremen may be their home, but it’s also impossible to imagine the musical life of Hamburg without them: the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen is giving several concerts again this season. They are coming to Hamburg twice with their chief conductor Paavo Järvi to perform classics by Joseph Haydn and rarely performed works by Richard Strauss and the Swedish Romantic composer Franz Berwald. And Elim Chan, one of the world’s leading young conductors, will be stepping onto the podium in spring.
