There’s something in and for almost every vocal register in the four song recitals of the season: the soprano Anna Prohaska returns with a hand-picked selection of songs by Henry Purcell to Leonard Bernstein, which feature on her concept album »Paradise Lost«. The French mezzo-soprano Lucile Richardot opens this series with her warm voice portraying the composing sisters Nadia and Lili Boulanger. The Baritone Christian Gerhaher and his long-time piano accompanist Gerold Huber turn all their energies to the beautiful songs of Johannes Brahms. And the Austrian bass Günther Groissböck – usually at home on the opera stage – finally makes his Elbphilharmonie debut with an evening inspired by Gustav Mahler.
