Future X – When Is Tomorrow?

Making music together, dancing, singing, acting or creating choreography sequences: this is possible in the community project »Future X – When Is Tomorrow?«. Anyone who is curious and also aged 16 and over is invited to come along and get creative in the rehearsals and workshops being held from October 2024 onwards.

You can choose from workshops focused on music and songwriting, movement and dance, creative writing and sound design using modular synthesizers. If you’re more interested in being part of a large group you should opt for the main rehearsals where the results from all workshop groups are put together.

The result will be a collaborative performance created from nothing that is completely dedicated to ideas related to »the future«. The final performances will form part of the Hamburg International Music Festival – featuring a full programme with the overarching theme of »Future«.

Requirements for taking part:

Anyone aged 16 and over living in Hamburg or the surrounding areas is invited to take part. If you require any special support or assistance, please reach out to us and we’ll be happy to discuss how we can tailor the workshops to your individual needs. Participants in »MUSIC« should have made music before; being about to read sheet music is helpful but not essential. For the »WORDS« workshop, it is important that participants are able to speak and write at least basic German.
