Family Orchestra

Having fun with music is the name of the game in the Family Orchestra, in which grandmas, grandchildren and uncles make music together.

The Family Orchestra brings generations together: children, parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts. Music is made once a week with one another – each as best he can. An equally warm welcome awaits if you come by yourself – fun comes first in the Family Orchestra. There are weekly rehearsals for an annual concert in the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall and in one of Hamburg’s community centres, but the pieces are specially arranged so that beginners can also join in. Christine Philippsen from the Staatliche Jugendmusikschule Hamburg is the Artistic Director of the Family Orchestra.

Rehearsal day & time: Tuesdays, 18:00–19:30
Rehearsal venue: Elbphilharmonie Kaistudio
First rehearsal: 6 September 2022

Monthly participation fee: €10

Supported by the Stiftung Elbphilharmonie
