Twinkle concert for kids: »Obotaqua«

Excerpts from the hit children‘s concert »Obotaqua« (1-3 years) in the Elbphilharmonie’s small and cosy Kaistudio.

The Elbphilharmonie welcomes everyone – including the very youngest concertgoers. Its popular »Twinkle Concerts« series offers captivating concert experiences tailored to all age groups. And to enhance these experiences, in-house productions are regularly created, featuring enchanting music, exceptional artists, and thoughtfully staged performances.

This particular »Twinkle Concert S« (for ages 1–3) introduces a delightful combination of oboe, dance, and quanun, collectively known as »Obotaqua«. The quanun (also spelled kanun) is a traditional zither that has been a cornerstone of Arabic music for centuries. In the intimate setting of the Kaistudio, these instruments blend harmoniously with dance, creating a whimsical and immersive experience. Joining in and dancing is allowed!

The video (above) shows excerpts from the performances in spring 2024.
